Publisher Description
Michael Brooks takes on the new "Intellectual Dark Web." As the host of The Michael Brooks Show and co-host of the Majority Report, he lets his understanding of the new media environment direct his analysis of the newly risen conservative rebels who have taken YouTube by storm. Brooks provides a theoretically rigorous but accessible critique of the most prominent "renegades" including Sam Harris, Jordan Peterson, and Brett Weinstein while also examining the social, political and media environment that these rebels thrive in. 'A brilliant critique of the Right with very sharp insight on some of the shortcomings of the Left, this book is a must-read for anyone looking to understand how dishonest actors spread their propaganda.' Ana Kasparian, Host and Executive Producer of The Young Turks

A truly left wing perspective
An interesting read on the left wing socialist perspective, that certainly has Marxist roots. The grievance I had came at the finale, which appeared rather abruptly ended after his discussion of the ANC
Against the web exposes the far right commentators of today.
An in depth, and analytic view of the way today’s right wing messengers send their message to the people that will listen to them. This book exposes their many flaws, and makes it evident that their talking points are “cherry pickings” of subjects that will benefit their arguments. Michael places their arguments in context, and offers a more complex view of the subjects they use as the bases for their arguments, often arguing that they do not present either the full picture of situations, or that they are blatantly lying. Michael accomplished this eloquently, using credible sources, and statistical data, further accentuating how the right operates without much substance in their arguments. Amazing read. Rest in power Mike.
Michael was just getting started
Michael was an extraordinary talent as a broadcaster and political commentator, and this book summarizes the project he undertook as an upstart in the online politics community to take on and discredit the biggest names in the so-called Intellectual Dark Web, a group of pundits who peddle incredibly short-sighted and dangerous ideas purely for financial gain. I am enjoying every chapter in this book, but also feeling remorse for the loss of someone who many recognize was poised and had the ambition to be a great leader in our time. We miss you Michael, but much respect for leaving us your great works
