Ahuva

Within the morass of religious, historical, and cultural contradictions that is modern Israel, a Jewish girl and an Arab boy share a deep and passionate love that survives wars, social turmoil, and the intense opposition of their families. In many ways a portrait of Israeli society from the 1950s through the 1980s, Ahuva (“beloved” in Hebrew) is a testament to the hardships of existence in that country.
