Alexander When Young

Alexander must face pain and fear to become free--free of his bondage in a home in which he is scarcely noticed and in which his sister is a threat to a fluffy cat named Gabriel.  He must stand for himself, and for something.  He must learn obedience without punishment.  No one can help him except a humble priest.  Alexander needs his Father.  But Alexander is never really alone.  He can count on a golden dog named Red.
