When, Mrs Buttercup, Alicia's new teacher, announces a series of competitions culminating in a Bring Your Pet to School Day, there is only one thing on Alicia's mind.

With plenty of high jinks, laughter, and jollity will Alicia finally find a best friend, and will Aunt Josie succeed in the race to find her niece a pet to borrow for the day?
