There are bad boys and then there are the men of Devil’s Rock . . .
Some men come with a built-in warning label. Knox Callaghan is one of them. Danger radiates from every lean, muscled inch of him, and his deep blue eyes seem to see right through to Briar Davis’s most secret fantasies. But there’s one major problem: Briar is a nurse volunteering at the local prison, and Knox is an inmate who should be off-limits in every way.
Knox feels it too—a shocking animal magnetism that drives him to risk his own life to protect Briar’s. Paroled at last, he tries to resist her. She’s too innocent, too sweet, and she has no idea what Knox is capable of. But a single touch can lead to a kiss—and a taste . . . until the only crime is denying what feels so right . . .
“When the prison doors are open, the real dragon will fly out.”—Ho Chi Minh
In Jordon's serviceable and steamy contemporary romance, a nurse and a convicted killer make an unlikely connection thanks to a series of convenient coincidences. Nurse Briar Davis volunteers to accompany her boss, Dr. Walker, on rounds at Devil's Rock Penitentiary. Then, as if fate feels compelled to fulfill Briar's sister's warning about the dangers a single woman might face among felons, prisoners take over the prison's Health Services Unit. She and Walker are in mortal danger. Knox Callaghan who maintains that he's no murderer, despite the charge that landed him in Devil's Rock steps in, saves the day, and earns himself an early parole. After Knox's release, he just happens to meet Briar at a store near her apartment and she invites him up to share a carton of ice cream. The rest goes as expected. Jordon spins a good yarn, but this time it's impossible to overlook all the happenstance that leads to the happy ending.
All Chained Up
Great story. Could not put it down.
Hot hot hot
Was unsure when I first started reading this. But it's a really good story and I loved the way it progressed. The main character is 🔥🔥 buy this!!
All Chained Up is a new direction for the amazing Sophie Jordan. Knox and Briar first meet while he’s an inmate at the prison where she’s a volunteer nurse, a reluctant volunteer at that, but from the moment they meet they both know there is something forbidden between them. When Knox is given early parole he’s determined to forget about the beautiful but uptight nurse from Devil’s Rock, too bad he can’t. Briar knows that her attraction to Knox is something that she has to fight, if for no other reason than its intensity scares her and she’s vowed to move beyond a life of fear. After a chance encounter their chemistry explodes in a way neither one expected…or can say no to. Knox knows he’s not what Briar needs or deserves but she what he needs. Briar wants so badly to show Knox that she’s willing to take a chance but there’s that fear again. All Chained Up showcases Jordan’s skill at weaving a completely compelling love story. She take the ultimate anti-hero and turns him into the real deal and takes the sheltered, frightened heroine and turns her into a seductress and protector. Deep emotion, sensuality, and humor, all the trademarks of a Sophie Jordan book, are present in All Chained Up with a touch for danger and darkness added to make it perfection. This is a cannot miss if you love a dark hero!
