Though this book is short it is a truly romantic love story and was very good to read.

My name is Jackie Thomas, I'm a African American from Manassas, Va US. I hv read all of your books and hv found them most entertaining. I can not wait for the next. My husband has been a bit jealous of my distraction, I guess of all the reading in the past weeks but I just couldn't put the books down I had to know what was going to happen next.
Your story line is so interesting and I'm 51yrs old I hvnt read like this in yrs. Pls hurry and finish the next book. I'm on your mailing list in the mean time I guess ill hv to find another author to read, but I can't get your books, Amy, Eddie, Daisy, etc off my MIND, so pls hurry.

I love this book so much that I bought and read the next three in the series! All the books were beautifully written, informative, and hard to put down!
For anyone interested in similar books, I would recommend These is My Words. This book is the first of a series as well, and it is in the same era and takes place in the southwest part of the US. My book club adored the books and kept reading through the series.
