Publisher Description
Amidst the shelves of milady Reine lives an enchanted ball jointed doll. She sees the world in washes of colours and blooms of pigments, and captures them in watercolours as a way to understand herself—her permanent rose love for elven stories, her sap green
tranquillity, and the hansa yellow hope battling the ultramarine blue of her loneliness.
Often, she paints in her atelier, but also en plein air across the shelves—in the forest of earrings and near the teacup towers, between the old grimoires and in the beetle-knight barracks. She used to paint with someone, but not anymore.
The other dolls know little about her, see little of her.
Until one day, milady Reine makes a wish: for someone to see. Will that wish come true?
This is a dark, psychological fairytale exploring isolation, longing, and the hope that lingers.
