He fled loss and profound heartache, only to inherit a universe.
When a sudden tragedy leaves kid orphaned, without home or family, kid flees his tiny home town of Arland, Wyoming. Armed only with what he can fit in his pockets and on his belt, he sets out across the rugged Rocky Mountains on foot, searching for the hitchhiker's Mecca: US Interstate 80. His only goal is to drown his past in the Pacific, heal, and begin again.
After weeks braving the wilderness, fighting off predators, and surviving a near-fatal injury, kid finally reaches the asphalt of I-80. But his real journey begins when he flags down a ride from a most extraordinary man.
The man offers kid a Choice—and a gift of vast knowledge, reality-altering power, and a universe worth of responsibilities.
The Catch? The gift also comes with a nemesis so vile that nothing in the history of existence has ever defeated it. kid is suddenly thrust into a war against a ravenous Entity—a Cosmic Force bent on devouring all of existence. Alongside a smart, fiery Irish lass and a rag-tag band of loyal allies, kid and his Mob must stand against an enemy that outnumbers them hundreds of thousands to six..
With no hope and only the slimmest chance at victory, it won't be enough for kid to just do the impossible. To protect all life everywhere, he must become the Impossible.

Bring on Book 2
I’ve had good luck with new authors lately, so I figured I’d give this one a shot. I’m glad I did. So, let’s say one day a huge event completely remodels your life. Suddenly, you’re 14 and on your own. Then, suddenly, you’re in a twenty year old car that is definitely not a car, and going 120 down the interstate with a driver who can read your mind and project thoughts into your brain! There’s mountain lions! And Battles! And a battle against a mountain lion! There’s light romance, and great dialogue. Loved the banter. The philosophy and world building are vast and intriguing. And nothing ever works out like you think it will. I would absolutely recommend that you read this book.
