Loved the characters in this book. Loved how the author portrayed Alex’s ADHD. Made him even more loveable
Better than the first!
Even in book 1 of this series, I knew Uncontainable Alex and Stick-in-the-mud Lauren would not go quietly into the night.
They did not. My only wish is that a book with a character so obsessed with pegging actually had pegging, but I do understand that it would have changed the genre rating.
Absolutely perfect
It has taken me a little time to wrap my head around this magnificent piece of work. I didn’t know what to expect going in because I’m not a big fan of the famous hero/heroine trope. But from the very first page, I was captivated. Enamored. I’m freaking love with this book, the characters, the plot, everything.
Both the h and H were perfectly imperfect in every sense of the word, but that’s what made them so likable. Alex and Lauren were such opposites that they complimented each other before they even realized it. I loved their dynamic and how they played off of one another. And Lauren was just the worst (sarcasm—if you’ve actually read the book and not just reading the reviews beforehand, you’ll get the reference).
I think what resonates with me the most from this book is how well written Lauren and Alex are. Lauren is a plus size woman that has had to deal with people commenting on her size and her looks all her life and she’s learned to deal with it; learned to deal with the fat shaming and the awful looks/words. She wasn’t made into a victim, she held her own. Sure, she built up a wall and didn’t put herself first, but a lot of people that are treated that way do that. Her depiction was real. I’ve read a lot of books with plus size heroines that just don’t do them justice. They don’t show the hardships of what life is like (hello airplane seats and chairs with armrests) but god did I feel freaking seen in this book. Not only Lauren though—Olivia Dade nails Alex dealing with ADHD and the guilt of his past with his mother. His protective instincts were spot on and his actions with always talking and having trouble sleeping and needing to run to get out the energy—ugh, I just can’t even.
I really did have All The Feels just like the title says, and I can see this book as being one I can read again and again and not get tired of it. My heart is so full after this.
