All The Queen's Children

Samantha Shepherd is once again setting out on a quest: to prove that she lived her Bronze Age ancestor's life, which would also validate her theories about her ancestor's origins. And she is leaving her husband, Jack Shepherd, behind. Literally.

With very little to go on, other than instinct and Moira's oblique references, Samantha looks for the Star Circle, an ancient stone temple, and the living descendants of Moira's son, Niall Torren. Following a trail that has been cold for thousands of years, she once again finds help as she travels to the Netherlands, a magical Yorkshire farm, Norway and a small village in the Cotswolds.

Back home, archaeologist Jack Shepherd has his own problems to deal with. The past has come back to haunt him in a very tangible way, kickstarting him on a journey through his own personal history; some of it hundreds of years old, some of it more recent. He needs to talk to Samantha and keeps asking himself the same three questions - will she come home? WIll she support his new business? And will she accept his son?
