Rockton doesn't allow minors, but its sundry misfits agree to babysit while Casey and Dalton search for answers. Solving the murder should help identify the infant's biological family, but the duo must tread carefully; not all of Rockton's neighbors are good or sane, and the woman might have been warranted in taking the child. The tension rises as Casey and Dalton explore settlements about which Armstrong has previously only hinted, and they confront their own complicated feelings regarding parenthood. Fans of thrillers, small-town mysteries, and classic PI novels will be well pleased.

Thank You Kelley Armstrong, You Did It Again!!
I have been a big fan of Kelley Armstrong for many years now. I have not once been disappointed with one of her books and pre-order most releases in anticipation of another good read. This Casey Duncan series of novels is rich with characters living off grid in a world filled with danger at every turn. Survival skills to the max are required to survive this environment. There is no certainty of who to trust. The highly developed instincts of both Detective Duncan and her boyfriend Sheriff Dalton through individual life experiences that provide an unbeatable duo for protecting the off grid town of Rockton and it’s unique, colorful, often criminal inhabitants. Each installment in this series of novels provides hours on intense yet delightful entertainment with a challenge to solve the latest mystery. Thank You Kelley, I can’t wait to read the next Rockton adventure, as well as, further development in Casey and Eric’s world in the Yukon.
