Publisher Description

NAMED ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS OF THE YEAR BY LIBRARY JOURNAL • RITA finalist and bestselling author Ruthie Knox’s Camelot series heats up in this sizzling novel featuring two headstrong souls who bump heads—and bodies—as temptation and lust bring nothing but delicious trouble.

An accomplished lawyer and driven single mother, Ellen Callahan isn’t looking for any help. She’s doing just fine on her own. So Ellen’s more than a little peeved when her brother, an international pop star, hires a security guard to protect her from a prying press that will stop at nothing to dig up dirt on him. But when the tanned and toned Caleb Clark shows up at her door, Ellen might just have to plead the fifth.

Back home after a deployment in Iraq and looking for work as a civilian, Caleb signs on as Ellen’s bodyguard. After combat in the hot desert sun, this job should be a breeze. But guarding the willful beauty is harder than he imagined—and Caleb can’t resist the temptation to mix business with pleasure. With their desires growing more undeniable by the day, Ellen and Caleb give in to an evening of steamy passion. But will they ever be able to share more than just a one-night stand?

“Knox’s Camelot, Ohio, books showcase just what this author does best, create love stories that feature real people in situations that readers can understand and with which they can empathize. . . . Additionally, she writes absolutely smoking-hot love scenes! Her heroes and her heroines redeem and save each other. Love doesn’t conquer all, but it makes life a whole lot sweeter.”Library Journal

Good story, lousy typos

I'm more than half way through this story, and I'm enjoying it so far. Maybe not the best thing I've read this year, but it's good. My issue are the typos. Random quotation marks are rampant. Made up words (janked?) are probably typos. Did someone edit this?

Along Came Trouble

The last time we visited Camelot Ohio, a tornado swept through town causing more than just property damage ( How to Misbehave) . We are back some years later, revisiting the town and residents . The Clark family has grown, and their son Caleb is back from tours in Iraq and Afghanistan as an M.P. He is retired from the military, and has started his own company, Camelot Securities.

Ellen Callahan moved to Camelot after divorcing her alcoholic, womanizing husband. She has a sweet two year old named Henry, and is an entertainment attorney known for her tough negotiating skills. Ellen's brother is a very well known singer, who has been an entertainer since childhood. The story revolves around the ripple effect of an affair Jamie had with Ellen's next door neighbor Carly. It was short lived, but results are not going away. The paparazzi has swarmed into Camelot. Jamie hires Camelot Securities to protect Ellen, Henry, and Carly from the cameras, and the " tell all" tabloids. Seems like a simple logical plan...... Not with Ellen and Carly!

There is an instant attraction between Ellen and Caleb, but definitely not love at first sight! I laughed out loud at some of the clashes, and sighed at the tender parts. We meet a wonderful group of characters; Nana, Carly's very feisty Grandmother, Richard the ex-husband from hell, and more of the Clark family. This novel has laughter, loyalty, family and a lot of wonderful craziness! The romance is tantalizing, " Her libido growled and started pacing back and forth across her lower belly." I also have to say this story has some of the best "make up sex" I've read in a while!

I would highly recommend this delightful novel to readers who enjoy craziness, love and laughter in a small town.

I was offered nor accepted any compensation for this review.
