Alonzo's Adventure

Alonzo, son of a lowly blacksmith, yearns for better life than his upbringing dictates. Entering a competition to win the chance to become the personal bodyguard of the princess, Alonzo is forced to battle the other combatants to the death. At the conclusion of the battle Alonzo’s hopes are dashed when Mare, the illusion nightmare, kidnaps the princess and brutally attacks the remaining bodyguard candidates. As the only survivor physically capable of pursuing Mare, and the only candidate who attempted to intervene, the King charges Alonzo with the task of rescuing the princess.
