Rhea lost her mate and children when the mutants killed them when she had been sent out to hunt someone by her alpha. When Rhea saw Alec she knew he was her second chance but didn’t say anything until Alec said something so she had to tell him all of her secrets. Alec told her that he was afraid of the mating but they worked together getting the kidnapped children back and told him that she wasn’t a hunter anymore but the den mother. Good book!.

Overall rating: 4.5
Two shifters with very traumatic pasts discover they are mates. This author did a beautiful job show casing the seemingly insurmountable doubts they both had to overcome. Book ten of this series, the storyline sets up rapidly and leads a reader through action packed suspense. Emotions roll off these pages ! Stress places a mother in early labor, children fear the uncertain future, and the packs learn to blend and work together to become secure. Enjoyed this immensely and found this a great addition to the series! All my reviews are always voluntarily written.
