Alpha Heron

In the forest of Heron Vale, the moon never feels like just a moon. It feels like it’s watching. Judging. Choosing.

Rowan Vale has already been chosen once. As Alpha of the Heron pack, his word is law, his control is absolute, and his secrets are buried deeper than the roots of the pines. One mistake years ago shattered a fragile peace, and he’s sworn never to let emotion rule him again. Especially not over a human.

Ayla Hart doesn’t believe in monsters. She believes in evidence, clean lines, and second chances. Fresh out of a bad marriage and back in her isolated hometown as a temporary physician, she wants three things: quiet, distance, and a life that finally belongs to her. The brooding man who steps out of the mist to save her from an attack in the woods is not on that list.

But when something begins hunting on Rowan’s land, leaving bodies that shouldn’t be possible and symbols carved with inhuman precision, Ayla is pulled straight into the world he’s fought to keep her from. Her medical training makes her the only one who can read the clues written in blood. His instincts make her the one person he can’t walk away from.

Every answer they find links Ayla to the prophecy that crowned Rowan in the first place: an Alpha bound to a healer who can either break the curse on the Heron pack… or finish it. Claiming her will violate the oldest law of their kind. Protecting her means putting a target on her back. And resisting her might destroy them both when the forest finally decides to collect what it’s owed.

As their connection deepens from wary allies to something fierce and undeniable, enemies close in from all sides: rival shifters who want Rowan’s territory, humans who will burn the woods to expose the truth, and a shadowed power that has waited generations for Ayla to step across the town line.

If Rowan chooses his mate, he could lose his pack.
If Ayla chooses the Alpha, she could lose everything she thought she knew about right and wrong.

Alpha Heron is a tense, slow-burn paranormal romance with a possessive but honorable Alpha, a sharp, resilient heroine, found family, pack politics, and a mystery threaded with fate and danger.

Step into Heron Vale and meet the Alpha who would burn the forest to keep his mate breathing.
