Can love cross species as well as rank?
Eric King never wanted to join Alpha Squad. He watches as his bear shifter brothers reveal themselves to the world from his cozy London home and wonders just how big a can of worms they opened. Then, the order arrives.
Major Janine Williams certainly never wanted to lead Alpha Squad either. A bureaucrat with something to prove dreamt up the assignment to improve human/shifter relations. And she draws the short end of the stick.
Fate rarely cares about what anyone wants, though. And so both of them find themselves--as well as each other-- at boot camp.
Love blooms in unexpected places, and between unlikely people. The first in Lorelei Moone's steamy paranormal romance series, Alpha Squad, check out Alpha Squad: Boot Camp if you enjoy fated mates stories with a military twist.

Unexpected
Alpha Squad #1: Boot Camp: (A Steamy Bear Shifter Paranormal Romance) by Lorelei Moone
•Unexpected
Another great start to a fascinating series. This is an awesome foundation base to what's sure to be a great series. The spin off from the ending of Lorelei's Scottish Werebears series is amazing. I'm excited to have more stories of her bear Shifters to read, and can't wait for more in 2017!
Eric didn't volunteer but did as he was asked when the leader of The New Alliance asked him to join the taskforce Alpha Squad- a joint effort between shifters and humans to supposedly to bridge the gap between them, which was supposed to be only on paper not an actual thing. But they think it's vital to have one of their own on the inside of the team. The last thing he expected to find when joining the taskforce to police super naturals if needed, was his human mate. Can he keep their relationship strictly professional?
Janine was handed the assignment which was supposedly a promotion - but not really, of setting up the Alpha Squad. Which had highly unqualified shifters (who are stronger than regular people, so they'll more than likely be harder to control), how are they going to react to a woman being in charge of the operation? Since getting to know the squad, she begins to think that maybe they could make a real go at this thing. However one of the bear shifters makes it tough to keep her thoughts professional, can she do it when their connection is different than she's ever felt before?
Too see if they're successful at setting up the joint taskforce with so many obstacles in their way as well as to see what happens between Eric and Janine you'll have to read ALPHA SQUAD: BOOT CAMP. This is a standalone story that coincides with the Scottish Werebear series. Check out Scottish Werebear: An Unexpected Affair to find out where it all began. I received an ARC via IndieSage in exchange for an honest blog tour review. This story is intended for adult audiences only. I enjoyed reading this story and especially enjoyed the audible version, Audrey Lusk did an awesome job capturing the essence of the story!
Finding one's true mate was never so sweet!
This was my first book by this author, and I was immediately hooked on her writing style. I love bear-shifter stories, and this one quickly became one of my favorites. Eric and Janine have chemistry in spades, and their instant "true mate" connection was beautifully written. It's a tough assignment to have a strong male character retain his alpha leadership status when his mate not only outranks him but is his boss, but Ms. Moone pulls it off effortlessly. Eric is downright swoon-worthy, and his determined pursuit of Janine once he realizes she's his mate was so much fun to read. My goal now is to read everything in this series, then everything else by this author. It's that good. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
A bit of action with a touch of spice
If you read the previous series by this author then you will know where some of the characters in this book come from. The shifters came out and now they are building a Alpha Squad to help ease fears and to keep the peace. The problem is not all are on-board or honest in this endeavor.
Eric and his brother Adam are all in and head out to join this squad but Eric is not prepared for what happens.
His Major is none other than a woman he has thought about since seeing her in a restaurant. Now what is he to do? Janine is she human? Well she can all of a sudden hear Eric' thoughts.
If you love shifters and a bit of action with a touch of spice then pick up this book. It can be read as a stand-alone as it's a first in a new series. I really enjoyed it and can't wait for the next one.
