Very easy to lose yourself in this one
I think Lackey is really goof at fleshing out her worlds, and she really shows it in this 2nd installment. Especially when she describes food… yum!
People will complain it could have been edited down, but I think the ‘extra’ stuff really helps normalize the characters and ground them in reality.
Only complaint is the romance… Lackey really needs to stop matching her protagonist with the first female character he meets.
