A modern-day murder tosses an imperfect man into the past...on a search for answers.

He traces Southern roots entangled in the Civil War, woven into a Church he loved, and wrapped around places that denied fellowship. Memory takes him back to a grandmother's desperate phone call after she hears her son’s name spoken in the hunt for Martin Luther King's assassin.

Can one family still celebrate the good of its many patriots, entrepreneurs, and beloved namesakes while building beyond the bad? Can a tragedy bring out the best in us all? Or is history doomed to repeat itself?
