The essential knowledge of the American history
When I moved to the US I purchased several books in order to learn the history of this country and better understand its culture. The “very short introduction” helped enormously in order to understand the evolution of the American society, learn key events throughout its history and find out the origin of some fundamental principles that are considered as the pillars of the American nation. I highly recommend it to whoever is looking for a brief summary on how the US became the nation that it is today.
