Publisher Description

Frank and Herma Dusek, the owners of the Pickwick Hotel in downtown Anaheim, appeal the denial of their petition for a peremptory writ of mandate. They contend respondent Anaheim Redevelopment Agencys (Agency) certification of a supplemental environmental impact report and approval of the demolition of the Pickwick, a registered historic monument, violated the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). (Pub. Resources Code, § 21000 et seq.) On this basis, the petition seeks to have both actions set aside and to prevent the Agency from proceeding with the acquisition and demolition of the Pickwick.
