American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO): Chicago, USA, 4-8 June 2010 (Conference Report: ASCO 2010‪)‬

Introduction The ASCO conference is the most important meeting in the calendar of any oncologist. The 46th conference was held at McCormick Place Convention Center, Chicago, Illinois, USA from 4-8 June and was attended by more than 30,000 delegates from across the globe. This year's theme was 'Advancing Quality through Innovation'--working towards safer and more effective bespoke patient care in the future by building on the innovations and personalised medicine that are current today. Some of the innovative approaches to practice presented in the meeting are highlighted below.
