Fleeing King Manasseh's tyranny, Joshua leads the faithful remnant to their new home in Egypt. But as years pass, Joshua's desire for vengeance becomes an obsession. Blinded by hatred, he makes rash decisions, placing his loved ones in jeopardy.
Amid Joshua's turmoil comes an unexpected awakening of love--a love that burns so intensely it draws him from the dark inner seclusion where he often retreats. But what will it take for him to grasp the great love his Heavenly Father has for him...and for the chosen people of Judah?
(Chronicles of the King Book 5)
Well written historical and biblical novel making The Bible come alive with scenes and characters revealing truth.
An amazing ending!
Lynn Austin has an incredible ability to produce characters that you love and story lines that will captivate you. Her knowledge of history and her love for the word of God combined helps her create a story that will leave you astonished and wanting more. This is the perfect ending to an amazing series.
This is a culmination of reading first the series on the Civil War followed by World War II and now lastly this magnificent series Chronicles of the Kings. Through them all my life has been touched by the lives and faith of these characters and the people that actually lived in biblical
times. In what has been a very difficult time in my life, crisis after crisis that I would not begin to enumerate with anyone, let alone here in writing. I have been ministered to in ways I would have never dreamed could happen through a novel, even a Christian novel. I praise God for the gift He has given Lynn Austin in making these stories come alive in such a way that they have inspired me in very challenging times in my life. Being able to see God's faithfulness in the lives of these characters has reminded me over an over of Who He is and how very much I am loved. Thank you Lynn for being such an obedient servant in using the gift God has given you to bless so many lives. In His Joy, Linda Morris
