Looking to earn some easy cash, Jessica Farris agrees to be a test subject in a psychological study about ethics and morality. But as the study moves from the exam room to the real world, the line between what is real and what is one of Dr. Shields’s experiments blurs.

Dr. Shields seems to know what Jess is thinking… and what she’s hiding.

Jessica’s behavior will not only be monitored, but manipulated.

Caught in a web of attraction, deceit and jealousy, Jess quickly learns that some obsessions can be deadly.

Cool Read *spoiler alert*

I enjoyed both sides of Dr.Shields personality. Her vulnerability and loving side with her husband and her cunning, predatory nature that comes to light. She plays both roles so gracefully. This story will draw you in, upset you and make you triumph. Yet, at the end you somehow can’t help but feel bad for the antagonist (Dr.Shields) at the ending.

In my opinion the ending could have been longer and more sentimental with the death of Dr.Shields. A narrative in her perspective with her final thoughts , regrets and actions in detail could have been elaborated on. As well as Jess’ reflections and takeaways from the situation.

The crafting of Dr.Shields character was brilliant. Thank you to Greer and Sarah for the depth of the characters and putting together such a complex narrative. I really enjoyed it.

Entertaining, but not my favorite ending

I thought the book was great throughout, and there were some interesting twists. I wasn’t a huge fan of the ending, but still would definitely recommend.

An Anonymous Girl

I could not get into this book.
Every chapter felt like deja vu all over again....
Chapter after chapter.
