An Imbalance of Shadows

Shadows! Miracles! Vengeance!

At the moment of her birth, Julianna receives a divine blessing and becomes an unknowing piece in a game played by celestial and infernal powers that control her world. This blessing fully manifests on her twenty-first birthday when she frees Grandfather Shadow, an ancient god of vengeance, from his thousand-year prison.

To show his gratitude, Garandfather Shadow names Julianna his high priest and commands her to reunite the truly loyal among his followers. The god cares nothing that in the Kingdom of the Sun, it is illegal for Julianna's people to worship any of the greater gods. If she is caught and captured, Julianna will suffer execution and the destruction of her soul. 

Persued by the followers of the god of death and Inquisitors of the Kingdom of the Sun, Julianna must learn to control the blessings Grandfather Shadow bestows upon her and understand her new place in the celestial hierarchy.
