Barb Warner Deane writes another page turner!
Another great page-turner by Ms. Deane. This book explores many themes -- what is family, who is a parent, teen pregnancy. While tackling these weighty themes, Ms. Deane crafts complex, fierce, smart, brave women characters. She writes fast paced mysteries. This book as two puzzles to consider. Her writing is compelling and beautifully crafted. She writes characters you root for and care about. As in her other books, she doesn't blink or look away from tough stuff, making her writing all the more compelling. Ms. Deane is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors!
