Sydney is pulled into another time and place. Her modern-day clothing is no longer. She is without clothing, and she touches her body and understands that she is genderlesswithout breast or curves of a woman, no entrance to bear children. There is a lake nearby, and she begins walking rapidly toward it to see the reflection of what her hands can feel. She is not surprised.
