Animals In the Plan of God

Some of the most popular programs on television are the Natural History ones, or the series that feature vets. People love animals! There have also been some beautiful coffee table books produced which feature fantastic photographs of animals. Sadly, other writings on animals have been from the Animal Welfare point of view, and sometimes these can be emotive and somewhat extreme. And of course there are many detailed textbooks on animals, but these tend to go over the heads of the general reader.

However, what does the Bible say about animals? Does it say much? It is natural that when man goes to the Bible he wants to find out what God’s plan and purpose is for him, and so Christian commentators have largely ignored the subject of animals. However, what is God’s purpose for animals in his overall plan? 

This publication is issued with the hope that it will contribute towards a better understanding of the purpose of animals in God’s plan and purpose, and their true relationship to man - past, present and future.
