Description de l’éditeur
An Apple Books Classic edition.
Readers first met Anne Shirley as a freckled 11-year-old orphan who arrived in Green Gables instead of the boy the farming family had asked for. Despite—or perhaps because of—Anne’s penchant for telling tales and breaking social norms, she quickly won the hearts of everyone in her new hometown of Avonlea…including her new family.
In the second book in L.M. Montgomery’s timeless series, the always-spunky Anne turns 16 and starts working as Avonlea’s schoolteacher. When she discovers two orphans in need of a home, Anne throws herself into helping her neighbors while navigating mishaps and her feelings for Gilbert Blythe. It’s exactly the stuff that’s made millions fall in love with Anne of Green Gables.

Anne of Avonlea
It’s a great book and in case anyone was wondering here’s most of the book order (I hope I got it right :) )
Anne of Green Gables
Anne of Avonlea
Anne of The Island
Anne of Windy Poplars
Anne’s House of Dreams
The books are amazing, and you’ve got to read them. Also they’re in like, the 1900s so it’s not outdated it’s your fault if you don’t like it.
It’s great!
Classic
A timeless classic!!! Takes of a girl’s transition into womanhood. Utterly captivating... This book is full of imagination and is a very morally educational read. I greatly recommend it to all those who need a dose of imagination and wholesome literature.
Interesting read!
I really like this book. You definitely will want to read the first book before reading this one. I will say I like Anne of Green Gables a tiny bit more than Anne of Avonlea, but it is still really good. I really like how there are so many new characters introduced throughout the book. There are probably about as many new characters as there are old characters. It will still help to read Anne of Green Gables first.
