The best book I’ve read in years

Full of heart - grief, happiness, sex, romance, war, youth, old age. So so good. I was sad when I had read the last word.

Wonderful

This is a beautiful book. The attention to detail. The many footnotes including those for fictional characters. The number of real historical people he comes across during his life. It's a book you don't want to put down.
