Anyone But Her

I fell in love with the Jade series a few years ago, and then realized there was a beginning to Garrett’s story with his parents last year! After catching up I then moved onto reading about Lily and her friends at college and I am so glad Allie decided to expand upon Taylor’s story after the hints from Lily’s book! This story gave me alllllll the feels! Luke was dealt a tough hand in life, but always worked to come out better and successful. It seemed that every time he got a step up, something would happen that would complicate things and bring him back down. But Luke never truly let it get him down, with the help of his mentor. Taylor and Luke have always been drawn to each other, even without knowing one another, and it was great to see the sparks fly once they were in the same place at the same time. I enjoyed the character growth from not only Luke, but Taylor as well. This book is where she seemed to really grow, understand, and step up for what she wanted rather than what her father did. With all the odds stacked against them, they rely on each other and work together to get through the rough times and come out stronger than before. I really enjoy Allie’s books in general, but in particular this book world of characters, and this book was no exception. I’m really hoping Allie decides to write about Cal and Birdie – the foreshadowing was crazy good and I would love to see what happens with the two of them!
