Apophenia and the Intentionality Fallacy

This book explores how the human mind finds patterns and meanings in random events and tends to impute upon them paranormal or spiritual purposes. However, on closer and more critical examination we discover that it is the brain that tends to play tricks on us for a variety of reasons, including an unusual evolutionary advantage. A number of pictures and illustrations and videos are added to the text to help the reader better understand "apophenia" which is the tendency for cognitive "patternicity."
