Aptavani 2

In the Annals of Liberation Aptavani 2 is a landmark. It encompasses the entire science and secrets of liberation. To be liberated is to be free from the darkness or ignorance that causes pain and suffering. Traditional conventional presentation is being breached, in this book, which is filled with hundreds of words in Gujarati, the language in which the Gnan came forth. Gnan means the experiential vision that liberates. The meanings of these words are presented along with the English text, to make it easy for the reader to understand.

Ambalal Muljibhai Patel became spontaneously enlightened in 1958. He became the Gnani Purush. Within Him, the fully enlightened Self, is addressed by Him as ‘Dada’ or ‘Dada Bhagwan.’ Thus in this book prior to 1958, his interaction with others is as ‘I’ and after Gnan, the term ‘we’ is used to denote the term ‘amey’ which means ‘us’ meaning the Gnani Purush. By the same token, the worldly seeker who first comes to the Gnani is simply addressed as ‘you’ or ‘self’ or ‘soul’ and after attaining the Self in the Gnan Vidhi, the same individual is now addressed as a ‘mahatma’, or ‘the Self’, or ‘You’, ‘Soul’, while his relative self is addressed as a ‘file’, ‘first neighbor’, ‘Chandulal’, or ‘the self’, or ‘the non-Self’ and as the context changes, these are incorporated in the translated text for ease of comprehension.

The One whose every word can eradicate the worldly wonderings life after life from its very root, whose single roar can awaken the soul that has been in profound sleep for an infinite time, at whose divine feet comes to halt time, karma, and illusion; that speech; has been compiled in this book.This speech is verily the manifestation of the Goddess of Knowledge—Saraswati. It is the speech of the vitarag—one who ia absolutely free from attachment or abhorrence. The other definition of vitarag speech is according to the sutra of Dadashri, ‘when the detailed experience of the prakruti—the non-Self complex—is done, one becomes a vitarag.’ Since it is the speech of the one who is trusted at all times (apta-purush), it can never be crossed out, negated, at any time. It is syadvad speech – speech accepted by all- does not offend anyone’s viewpoint. Such speech that has come forth naturally and for the salvation of the world, based on the evidences of worldly situation, time, location, and deep inner intent; is extremely rare.This speech expresses after having ‘touched’ the manifest fully enlightened Lord within.

The above are the words of Atmagnani Dr. Niruben Amin, who spearheaded a team that collected the words of Gnani Purush Dadashri and preserved, compiled them in book form called Aptavani to the world in Gujarati language in India in 1974. She writes further that this book of Gnan is not a book of religion; it is a book of practical spiritual science—vignan. An attempt has been made to present to the world the extract of the knowledge of the inner spiritual science of the fully enlightened ones –vitarags, which came forth from absolutely revered Dadashri from 1958 onwards. However the precise understanding, ‘as it is’, can only be attained by a direct meeting with such an unlighted One. Nevertheless, as long as His presence (overt or subtle) prevails in any corner of this world, this book of Gnan will give the exact effect. This book will be enormously useful to spiritual seekers, philosophers, thinkers, and those who are truly inquisitive. Since the language is simple and easy, it will give complete results to everyone who reads this book. The humble open minded reader who studies this great book in depth and contemplates upon it, will definitely attain vision that liberates.
