This is the first in a multi-volume series that spans the history of Arizona from its earliest-known prehistoric times, to its aboriginal history, the arrival of the Europeans and American pioneers and into the early 20th century. This volume begins with a geological description of Arizona and the historical record of the ancestral Puebloan people, and continues through the history of the territory through the early 20th century.
