“Armadale” is a very plot-twisted novel that tells us a story of two young men whose names were Allan Armadale and they were two distant cousins. The Father of first one murdered the father of second one and that happened that their names were Allan Armadale as well.

In the beginning the murderer left the letter with deathbed confession to be given to his son when he grows up. The time passed and the son left home and went for a wandering life under the name of Ozias Midwinter. By the chance he met Allan and they became the best friends. Soon Ozias read the letter left for him and became afraid that he would do the harm to Allan.
