ARMY BASIC SCHOOLS

Immediately after graduation Tom had leave time before he was to report to the basic course of the branch to which he was assigned.  Tom’s was at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, home of the field artillery. He took a foreign trip and then drove across the US to California.  Being very anxious and impatient to see the world, Andy Gothreau and Tom decided to catch a MATS (military air transport system) flight to visit Scotland and Ireland.
