Aromatic Herbs

Nice to see and including lots of information, Piante, radici, arbusti ed erbe aromatiche (Plants, roots, shrubs and sweet herbs) is a text to check out and to test on the  field – in the literal meaning. Its strong point is the possibility of getting a full-page enlargement with two taps, for facilitating the recognition of the plant you want to identify, an advantage that cannot be found on many printed guides. The choice of using drawings (made for the occasion), and not as photographs, was made to facilitate this identification work: the drawing allows you to accentuate the features of the subject, to isolate it from the background, or to show both foliage and roots at the same time

The text materially consists of 59 cards that start with a detailed description of plants or grasses, moving on to their cultivation and uses in cooking, curative or cosmetic properties. Finally, the "myths and legends" section gives plants which are often neglected the right cultural dimension.
