Publisher Description

You have an ARRT MRI registry date. Hold it. Between now and then: 662 questions with all four options explained. Two timed practice exams at the full 230 items. A 12-day plan that opens with a 40-item diagnostic. No login, no expiry.

We built this the way an MR instructor runs a registry review, not the way a shelf gets filled. We started from ARRT's current content specifications for magnetic resonance imaging. The exam runs about three and a half hours and delivers 230 items: 200 scored, plus 30 pilot items indistinguishable from the rest. Image Production alone holds 106 of those 200. Procedures takes 57, Safety 21, Patient Care 16. So six of the twelve days sit inside the physics, and safety gets two days of its own instead of a checklist. Check us against those specifications, count by count. We would rather you did.

What's inside

662 original questions, all four options explained. You finish an item knowing why the right parameter, sequence or safety decision holds, and where each distractor breaks down.

Two full-length practice exams at 230 items, the number you actually sit rather than the 200 the exam scores. Thirty never count and nobody can point to them, so you answer all 230 at one standard.

Six days inside Image Production. Resonance and relaxation, tissue contrast, the sequence families, parameter trade-offs, k-space and acquisition, then a whole day on artifacts.

Two full days on MR safety. The four zones and who belongs in each. The projectile hazard, bioeffects and SAR, acoustic noise, cryogens and quench. Conditional is not the same as safe, and these items make you prove it.

Three procedure days by anatomy. Neurological, then body, then musculoskeletal, taught as protocol reasoning rather than recitation.

Maybe the last MRI book you opened treated the physics as a preamble to the protocols. Give it three evenings. If the 40-item diagnostic does not name a physics subsection you have been avoiding, put it down. An hour is all it cost.

Three readers find it worth the evenings. A radiologic technologist cross-training into MR. Someone finishing an MR program this term. Someone returning after years away from the magnet. When the physics is already comfortable ground, start at Day 7.

Day 5 is the evening nobody looks forward to: k-space, sampling, matrix and field of view. Sit with it once, and artifacts stop being a guess. Downloaded once, yours to keep.

No ARRT outline text, manufacturer parameter chart or implant labelling table is reproduced. No scenario here calls a named device safe at a given field strength, because the honest answer is always to check.
