Arsonist on the Moors

The Marsden Moors Massacre was supposed to be history.

When police stormed the isolated compound deep in the Yorkshire moors, they uncovered a scene of unimaginable horror—over 150 men, women, and children dead, poisoned by water laced with death cap mushrooms. Those who resisted the cult's final act were slaughtered by their own. Only a handful survived. The case was closed. Or so everyone thought.

Years later, the quiet village of Marsden is once again haunted by bloodshed—grisly murders that echo the rituals of the long-dead cult. The locals are terrified. The past, it seems, is not done with them yet.

American true crime novelist, Alaric Teagen, has come to Marsden in search of answers and inspiration for his new book on the massacre. But the villagers are tight-lipped and missing survivors are difficult to find. Seeing an opportunity, he volunteers to assist the initially sceptical, local police.

As the body count rises and the line between history and horror blurs, Alaric finds himself drawn deeper into a mystery that someone is desperate to keep buried. In a village that remembers everything but says nothing, uncovering the truth might be the last thing he ever does.

Dark secrets don't stay buried forever… and some killers never stop.
