Arte is definition of a strong independent woman
Arte reminds me of Yona from Yona of the dawn (Akatsuki no Yona), who can protect herself without a mans protection, and Shirayuki from Shirayuki no Hime (Snow white with red hair).
I’m deeply fascinated, invested, and into strong and independent female character. The online difference is that this manga is seinen, unlike some Shoujo manga sometimes they don’t have themes of maturity, and harsh realities. Also that’s what seinen means in English.
And I like how it’s slowly progressing from the protagonist personal life before she set out into the real world. Unlike other characters who are dependent, always asks others for their help, and needing a mans protection.
Arte is different not because she’s different than human. Back in the 16th century women weren’t allowed to do things what men, and boys does which causes some trouble like discrimination, judgment, harsh realities, and unhealthy romantic relationships.
Also the other characters were interesting there’s Leo another main character. You’ll see more of him throughout the series when you’ll dig deeper, and learn more about other characters.
Overall, Arte is an amazing manga, also just to be clear not everyone does romance type of mangas. However at least give it a chance it’s romance, seinen, slice of life, and I think there was drama. Aye aye
As I mention it’s different than other Shoujo manga. Because of themes of maturity and harsh realities of working as an artist, and woman, also a girl too. If you’re not into these kind of themes read something else. If you can handle this manga with mature themes there should be no problems.
