AI Revolution - insightful, frightening
Insightful in how innovative the many fields are becoming. Frightening in how uncertain the future is.
Told in a way that those with the capacity to even try to understand may learn how the field of AI has been forming and being used.
Lots of history to learn from and lessen some of the fears as humanity struggles to adapt to another new era; just like we (collectively) have struggled through other eras before.
Seemingly, we should not fear the type of “AI taking our humanity and freedom away”; as seen in prophetic stylized movies and other stories suggest. However, we should not be complacent with its development while still within our control to manipulate it for the greater good of all society. As such, it would seem that any run-away Super AI that may actually rule us (as movies, stories suggest) quite possibly would be generations down the road.
The question most of us common folk in this new and developing era need to ask is, “How do I keep up and remain vital?” Not all humans are so adept and will need to rely on those in power (governments, designers, et al) to look out for our vitality and rights.
This book is not story, rather a divulgence of all that has been building and what may become of our reality within the artificial intelligence age. This age is in its infancy and has the potential to branch in many enlightening, powerful, and (quite possibly) disturbing or beneficial ways.
