Publisher Description
Artist Amanda Trent, accompanied by her beloved golden retriever Laddie and her persnickety calico cat Mona Lisa, is determined to start a new life after her husband divorces her to marry a younger woman, but it isn't easy.
After a disastrous interview at the prestigious Roadrunner Gallery in Lonesome Valley, Arizona, far away from her previous home in Kansas City, Amanda's afraid that she'll fail at her new career. But her prospects begin to improve when she's accepted as the newest member of the cooperative gallery.
Then, on her very first day, she discovers Janice, the stern director, has been murdered right in the art gallery, and the Roadrunner's members, including Amanda herself, become suspects. Which gallery member murdered the unpopular director? Or was the killer an outsider with an ax to grind?
Customer Reviews
A charming twisting story.
Good character development. Fun story about pets and best friends. Believable detective skills of the main character. Enjoyable read. CW
Encouraging
All the stories of the attractiveness of the people and the animals make everything enjoyable. Attaching to the characters, encourage meeting and making arrangements for them early on.
Enjoy!!!
A new author I intend to read more from!
I loved the well-developed characters, Amanda & Belle and their animals, Laddie, Mona Lisa and Mr Big! Amanda is an artist new in town, accepted to sell her work in the Roadrunner, and assigned Susan as her mentor. But things get sidetracked when they go to hang Amanda’s paintings and find the dead body of the director! The rude and cranky Lt. Belmont does not inspire confidence, so they decide to investigate on their own. A fascinating mystery which will make you want to read the next in the series.
