Asher (The Mavericks Book 5)
I received a complimentary copy of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing it.
This was a fast-paced book. Asher is the lead on this missing persons case. Two autistic twin former models were kidnapped in China. Asher will be working with Ryker and a "plus one". The "plus one" turns out to be his former ex-fiancee from 10 years ago, Mickie. Mickie is a nurse and has been working with the twins for the past 6 months.
The book was well written and in my favorite dual POV format. There was a lot of mystery, murder and intrigue here. The spark between Asher and Mickie was slow to come into the story and reveal itself.
The bedroom scene was highly glossed over but based on that, I can only recommend this to someone over the age of 18. Even though this is the fifth book of the series, this book can be read as a stand-alone.

Great reading! Love how you Intertwine all the characters from one set of series to the next I really enjoy reading everything you write!
It’s a thin line between love and hate!
This is book 5 in The Mavericks series and it features Asher and Mickey. It’s been 10 years since they were together. She broke it off because she didn’t feel worthy of him. Obviously she had some issues that needed to be worked out. Now, she is the nurse/caretaker of two autistic women who have been kidnapped. Asher and Ryker have been sent to find them. The family they are working for are some extremely scandalous people! I felt a connection between Asher and Mickey but it wasn’t flirty or romantic. It was more like two people who used to know each other but now were not sure how they would be received by the other. It’s a thin line between love and hate. The action and adventure were top notch! The mystery and suspense is fantastic throughout this entire series! I would have liked a little flirting or SOMETHING between Asher and Mickey but at the same time I love how the majority of the romance doesn’t take place until the mystery is solved or close to it. I’m looking forward to Ryker’s book next!
