Asmadul

ASMADUL is a slow-burn gothic romance set in a Victorian-era city folded into itself like black origami—an alternate, shadowed Baltimore where gas lamps burn blue-white, auroras attend like living witnesses, and supernatural Houses (vampires, werewolves, fallen seraphim, and Old Blood clairvoyants) navigate ancient contracts, moral debts, and the slow architecture of love.
At its heart is the quiet, deliberate courtship between Cassian Velmontaire, the half-blood sovereign reforming the ruthless Night Market from within, and Liora de Sangreal, a full-spectrum primary clairvoyant whose Gift sees souls in their truest colors. Their story unfolds through sacred domestic rituals in warm kitchens, secret meetings on ghost-airships beneath auroras, mirror-mazes that force honesty, and the slow revelation of inherited wounds and daily recommitment.
The prose is languid velvet minor keys—circling, breath-like jazz at 3 a.m., gothic and tactile, where intimacy is sacred alchemy: reverent, overwhelming, and never crude. Bread is made at five-thirty, notes are exchanged like vows, and every significant choice is witnessed by the city itself.
It is a romance about the most expensive choice: to see clearly, to name the dark without managing it, to keep choosing the better direction even when the color is precarious. It is about two people learning to carry weight together, about a kitchen large enough for everyone, and about a love that arrives foreknown and is still chosen, day by day, with full awareness of its cost and its beauty.
Dark, sensual, and deeply romantic, Asmadul is the story of a city—and two souls—finally arriving at home.
