Publisher Description
In this novel based on the Assassin's Creed™ video game series, Niccolò Polo, father of Marco, will finally reveal the story he has kept secret all his life—the story of Altaïr, one of the Brotherhood’s most extraordinary Assassins.
Altaïr embarks on a formidable mission—one that takes him throughout the Holy Land and shows him the true meaning of the Assassin’s Creed. To demonstrate his commitment, Altaïr must defeat nine deadly enemies, including Templar leader Robert de Sable.
Altaïr’s life story is told here for the first time: a journey that will change the course of history; his ongoing battle with the Templar conspiracy; a family life that is as tragic as it is shocking; and the ultimate betrayal of an old friend.

This is great
I have all three books of this series I'm almost done with the first one I just this book its so intense. just like the game an more untold parts in the story of altier life story if you love playing the game or just reading stories you need to get this/these books now!
mehh
i downloaded this book last night, and while i'm only about a quarter of the way through, i've noticed some things: very small things from the game have been cut (e.g. the traitor who helped the Templars into Masyaf at the very beginning of the game) and there are very obvious and disturbing grammatical/spelling errors. i don't know if those errors are in the printed version, but they are definitely in the ebook (e.g. somewhere in the first few chapters, "Templar" is spelled "Teimplar").
this is the first Assassin's Creed book i've read so far, but i've played through all of the games multiple times, so i know the story quite well. Bowden's writing style is somewhat weak in my opinion however. something about it doesn't click with me. while it's not the greatest work of literature known to man, it's definitely worth checking out for any hardcore fans of the series.
Assassins
Wonderful, great. Need more details on fighting techniques, action of combat. Philosophy in battle mode is good, but more, more please.
