Explosive captivating from the first page. Action packed Great mixture and development of West Virginia National Guard members and local mountaineers who come together to thwart a Russian invasion of the good old U.S.A. As I read the story I kept thinking of the movie, Red Dawn. Looking forward to the sequel. Great job H Ripley Rawlings IV!
Unrealistic but entertaining
Somewhat romanticized story with a lot of credibility gaps and no conclusive ending, but none-the-less kept me interested enough to read the whole thing and not regret it.
I could not. It put it down
My first introduction to the author was his co-authorship of a Mark Greany novel. That brought a new life to the franchise. But this one on his .own is a masterpiece of the genre. I can’t wait for his next work. This one is intricately crafted with never a dull moment.
