Publisher Description
Aste has a serious identity problem-he is the slowest cheetah in all the land. No matter what he tries, he cannot keep up with his brother cheetahs. Aste decides a more useful life strategy is to become a different animal where speed is less an issue. A dirty wild dog? An uncouth hyena? A vegetarian zebra? Nothing seems to work.
One day a threatening crisis occurs that demands a combination of intense determination, great bravery and selfless family loyalty. Aste has just the right mix of talents to be the hero of the day. Great speed or not, Aste is very satisfied with who he is and what he can accomplish.
Acclaimed author Joshua Bali brings this original tale to life for readers of English. ASL storyteller Tobin Zolkowski does the same for those following the action in American Sign Language. Young readers searching for their own niché will find Aste’s tale inspiring.

Aste
A new book remix of a classic folk storyline. I haven't seen this story presented before in ASL, so I recommend highly it to deaf teachers/parent and students especially. Great to see more stories like this being produced for deaf children. Congrats.
