Unexpected and Riveting.
This book was an emotionally charged rollercoaster from start to finish. Ironic, as I saw it, because Mick and Cyn are the king and queen of bottling things up. At Her Pleasure isn't a book; it's an experience. It hooks you in right from the start, and makes you challenge and question everything you thought you knew about the human psyche. Content warnings, pay attention to those. While reading this, if you need to pause, pause. If you need to take a breather before returning to it, do so. To quote Cyn, find your safe space. I know I did, which is a testament to Joey W. Hill's writing and her ability to craft compelling tales about emotionally damaged men and the women who tame them. I recommend this to anyone looking for a gutwrenching, emotionally charged read.
