Augie's Chestnut

With Augie Shepherd, no good deed ever goes unpunished...

When an old man tries to cut down an ancient chestnut nearly ten feet wide, odds are the tree is going to win that battle. In this case, mountain man Augie Shepherd nearly cuts his leg off in the process. Only to be saved by a big man wearing too many layers of clothes for the summer, and big black boots.

The accident sets off a series of events in the remote town of Boone, North Carolina. And Bim Mayer and Hanky J Johnson get tagged to help Augie find the missing man who saved him.

What Bim and Hanky J can't quite figure out is... why? Why would Augie care to find this guy?

As always with Augie, something nefarious is afoot, and the Finder Team needs to get to the bottom of it.

A mystery with humor and a touch of the supernatural, set in the Finder Team universe.
