Customer Reviews
From sarcasm to pathos
These connected short stories are narrated by the schoolteacher. The dialogue is witty and biting. The descriptions are poignant. I recommend reading the dialogue aloud to get the full effect of the the Scottish accent. There’s a lot of humor and a little sadness—just like life.
