In a vacuum this is ok
Having read the farsight codex supplement, this story has some contradictions that are somewhat annoying. I'm not sure which one was published first, and if this came first then my problems with the story are moot.
If you don't take the information in the enclave expansion into account this is an interesting read. It confuses me how no one was able to recognize Aun'shi as an ethereal, but other than that it was good. I would like to see a story that explains how he escapes and returns to the empire to make this feel like a more complete story though.
